1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and SimLife ("SimLife", "we", "us") governing your use of the SimLife mobile application for iOS and Android and this website (together, the "Service"). By downloading, installing, or using SimLife, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the extent it is not in conflict with these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use SimLife. If you are under 18, you may use SimLife only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

3. Your account

You can use SimLife as a guest, or sign in with Google or Apple. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for keeping access to your device and sign-in method secure. Guest accounts are tied to an identifier on your device. If you uninstall the App or lose the device without signing in, we may not be able to recover your guest history.

4. License to use SimLife

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with these Terms and the rules of the relevant app store.

5. Subscriptions & billing

  • Free credits. New accounts receive a limited number of free credits. One credit is used per successful AI generation. Free credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and may be adjusted for new accounts in the future.
  • SimLife Pro. Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription (weekly or monthly) purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Reference prices are $4.99/week and $9.99/month (USD). The exact price is shown in the store at purchase and may vary by region and currency.
  • Auto-renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your store account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the new period starts.
  • Cancelling. Manage or cancel in your store account: on iPhone go to Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. On Android open Google Play, tap Profile, then Payments & subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals and you keep Pro access until the current period ends. Deleting the App or your SimLife account does not cancel a subscription.
  • Refunds. Payments are processed by Apple or Google, and refunds are handled under their policies. We cannot issue refunds directly for store purchases.
  • Fair use. "Unlimited" Pro use covers normal personal use. To keep the Service fast and affordable for everyone, extreme usage volumes far beyond typical personal use may be temporarily throttled. We design these limits so that ordinary heavy users never encounter them.
  • Price changes. We may change subscription prices or features prospectively. Price changes apply only after notice through the store and never retroactively to a period you have already paid for.

6. AI-generated content

SimLife's responses are generated by artificial intelligence. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or biased, and may occasionally produce content that does not reflect our views. You are responsible for evaluating AI output before relying on it or sharing it.

  • Not professional advice. Nothing in SimLife constitutes medical, legal, financial, tax, psychological, or other professional advice. Always consult a qualified professional for decisions that matter.
  • Characters are fictional. AI characters, including those inspired by historical figures, are fictional simulations for entertainment and learning. Their statements are generated text, not the words or views of any real person, living or dead.
  • Similar output. Because of how AI works, output generated for you may be similar to output generated for other users. No exclusivity in AI output is promised.

7. Health & wellness disclaimer

Health Companion, Calorie Tracker, AI Journal, and related skills provide general information and self-tracking tools only. They are not a medical device, do not provide diagnoses, and are not a substitute for advice from a doctor, dietitian, therapist, or other qualified provider. Calorie and nutrition figures are estimates. If you are in crisis or experiencing a medical emergency, contact local emergency services immediately. The Faith Companion offers reflective content and is not a substitute for guidance from your faith leader.

8. Kids Stories

The Kids Stories skill is designed for parents and guardians to create and enjoy stories with their children. The account holder must be an adult. Children should use generated stories with adult supervision, and you are responsible for reviewing generated stories before sharing them with a child.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to use SimLife to:

  • violate any law or regulation, or infringe the rights of others;
  • generate content that is illegal, exploits or harms minors, or harasses, threatens, or defames any person;
  • attempt to bypass usage limits, credits, or subscription gates, or to access other users' data;
  • reverse engineer, scrape, or extract the Service's models, prompts, or non-public APIs, except where the law expressly permits;
  • resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties as your own offering;
  • misrepresent AI output as human-created where disclosure is required, for example in academic or professional submissions.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Zero tolerance for objectionable content

SimLife lets you create user-generated content, including custom AI characters (name, role, and description). There is zero tolerance for objectionable, abusive, or illegal content and for abusive users. By creating, submitting, or sharing content, you agree not to create personas or content that are sexually explicit, that sexualize or endanger minors, or that are hateful, harassing, threatening, violent, or otherwise objectionable.

We provide in-app tools to report objectionable content and to hide or block content you find inappropriate (use the Report or Hide option on a character in the App, or email support@simlife.app). We review every report and will remove violating content and eject the users who provide it, typically within 24 hours of a report. Repeated or serious violations may result in permanent suspension of your account. We may also remove content or restrict accounts proactively where content violates these Terms or applicable law.

10. Your content

You keep all rights you have in the content you submit (your "Input") and, to the extent permitted by law, we assign to you our rights, if any, in the AI output generated for you in the App (your "Output"). You can use your Output for any lawful purpose, including commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

So that the Service can function, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, and transmit your Input and Output solely to operate, secure, and improve the Service (for example, syncing your history across sessions). We do not use your content to train AI models and we do not publish your content.

You are responsible for your Input: do not submit content you have no right to use, and do not submit another person's personal or confidential information without authority.

11. Our intellectual property

The Service, including the App, website, SimLife name and logo, character artwork, design, and software, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the license in Section 4 and your rights in Section 10, no rights are granted to you.

12. Third-party services

SimLife relies on third-party services (AI providers, app stores, content databases) described in our Privacy Policy. Their availability is outside our control, and parts of the Service may be interrupted when a provider is unavailable. Third-party content surfaced in the App (such as movie, anime, book, or nutrition data) belongs to its respective owners.

13. Termination

You may stop using SimLife and delete your account at any time by going to Settings and tapping Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Where reasonably possible we will give you advance notice. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 10, 11, 14, and 15) do so.

14. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS, SO PARTS OF THIS SECTION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

15. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SIMLIFE AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) USD $50. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW, OR AFFECTS STATUTORY CONSUMER RIGHTS YOU HOLD IN YOUR COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be announced in the App or on this page before they take effect, and the "Last updated" date above reflects the current revision. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India, except that if the consumer-protection law of your country of residence grants you mandatory rights or a local forum, those rights are unaffected.
